Soil & Site: Loose, fertile, well-drained loamy soil rich in organic matter; sunny, airy location.
Sowing Depth & Spacing: Sow 0.5–1 cm deep. Start in trays/pots and transplant at 3–4 true leaves; space plants 45–60 cm apart with rows 60–75 cm apart. One plant per 12–16 in container.
Sunlight & Water: Full sun (6–8 hours). Keep soil evenly moist; avoid waterlogging and overhead watering late in the day. Mulch helps keep roots cool.
