Petunia (Star-pattern type) in Hanging Basket

A vigorous, mounding-to-trailing annual (often grown in hanging baskets) with bright green, slightly sticky leaves and trumpet-shaped blooms. The flowers are pink with a crisp white star pattern in the center—each petal has a white blaze that forms a star when the bloom opens. Blooms appear continuously from late spring through autumn in warm weather.

Quick care: full sun to part sun (6+ hrs light for best flowering), keep soil consistently moist but well-drained, feed every 1–2 weeks with a balanced fertilizer, and deadhead spent flowers (many modern Supertunia types are self-cleaning). Heat tolerant and great for hanging baskets, containers, or as a spiller in beds; attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
