A fast-growing evergreen vine that starts as a compact bushy rosette and matures into a climber/trailer 1–2 m (3–6 ft) indoors (climbs several meters on trees in the wild). Juvenile leaves are simple, arrow-shaped (sagittate), 7–15 cm (3–6 in) long, with long petioles; as the plant ages, leaves become lobed and eventually split into 5–11 finger-like leaflets. Cultivars show a huge range of colors/patterns: plain green, ‘White Butterfly’ (silvery-white center), ‘Pink Allusion’, ‘Neon Robusta’, ‘Mojito’ (green-white speckles), etc. Stems produce aerial roots at nodes for climbing. Flowers are rare indoors: a greenish-white spathe and spadix typical of aroids.

Quick care: bright indirect light (east/west window; variegated/pink types need brighter light to keep color; plain green tolerates lower light). Warm 18–27 °C (65–80 °F); minimum ∼15 °C (59 °F); no frost. Soil: light, humus-rich, well-draining (potting soil 60% + perlite 20% + cocopeat/orchid bark 20%). Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy—water when the top 2–3 cm dry; reduce in winter. Loves humidity (60%+); mist occasionally, use a pebble tray, or group with other plants. Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring–summer with balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength. Pinch shoot tips to keep it bushy; provide a moss pole or trellis if you want it to climb, or let it trail from a hanging basket. Repot yearly or when root-bound (prefers being slightly root-bound). Propagate easily by 10–15 cm tip cuttings with a node in water or moist soil (roots in 1–3 weeks). Watch for spider mites, mealybugs, aphids; bacterial leaf spot if leaves stay wet. Toxic if ingested (calcium oxalate)—keep away from pets/children.
