Pencil Pine in 8″ Pot 2.5ft-3ft

This is a narrow, columnar evergreen conifer that’s been clipped and trained into a tight spiral form. Foliage is dense, scale-like, and dark to blue-green, giving a sculptural, architectural look. In containers it’s kept compact (often 0.6–2 m tall, depending on age and pot size), while in the ground it can become a tall tree.

Quick care: full sun to bright light (at least 5–6 hours direct sun for best density), well-drained soil, water regularly until established then let the top few centimetres dry between waterings (drought-tolerant once mature). Trim lightly 1–2 times a year (late winter/early spring) to keep the spiral crisp. Hardy in mild climates (USDA 7–10); protect from harsh drying winds and waterlogged soil. Great as a formal accent in pots or flanking an entry.
